To apply for the ETH Zurich Student Summer Research Fellowship program, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria:

• Enrolled in a study program (bachelor or master) in computer science or a related field.
• Expected graduation date in the year following the fellowship or later.
• Completed two years of study by the start of the program (master students naturally satisfy this).
• Available for the full duration of the fellowship from July to August.

Language requirements: The program is conducted in English, so a good working knowledge of English is necessary, although formal evidence of language proficiency is not required.

The admission process involves evaluating your application documents, and shortlisted candidates may undergo an interview.

Prepare your application by exploring the faculty members in participating labs and their research topics. Indicate one or two preferred research areas in your application, ensuring you have background knowledge in these areas.

Application documents include:

• CV in English (use the EuroPass format).
• Official academic transcript from your home university.
• Letter of motivation/personal statement (max 1 page) explaining your chosen research area and how it aligns with your academic or professional goals.

Applications must be submitted through the external application tool SiROP, ensuring all required documents are included.

Application period: November 1 to December 15 at 13:00 (Central European Time). Admission decision communication: Applicants will be notified by email by February. Program duration: July 1 to August 31.

Financial support covers housing and living costs, and travel and visa expenses are also covered. Applicants can claim travel costs against receipts at the beginning of the program.
