The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) is a fully funded, eight-week summer residential program at Stanford Engineering. It brings 30 talented undergraduate students from across the country and the world for research and graduate school preparation. The program covers housing, a meal plan, travel stipend, and completion stipend. Students also get involved in coding experience, industry visits, Bay Area excursions, and a research symposium.

Objective: SURF aims to build a diverse community of future graduate student engineers, enhancing interest in graduate school and STEM careers. It fosters research engagement, retention, and preparation for graduate studies.
